As National Foster Care Month begins, Tavola Nostra in Hillcrest is proud to announce our partnership with Promises2Kids, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting foster youth in San Diego. From May 1–31, 2024, we’re donating 50% of the proceeds from every Pizza Margherita and Caponata Siciliana sold to help provide critical resources for children in need.
Why This Cause Matters
Over 3,000 foster children in San Diego County lack stable homes, mentorship, and educational support. Many age out of the system without essential life skills or a safety net. Promises2Kids bridges this gap by offering:
– Guardian Scholars Program (college scholarships & housing)
– Camp Connect (reuniting siblings separated in foster care)
– Mentoring & Basic Needs Support
